Yet another week in which the top women were not reaching new personal highs. There hasn't been a WTA tournament in the states for a few months now, and as noted in the most recent TWiAT, the US Open Wild Card Challenge tournaments weren't nearly as fruitful for Americans as they were last year. A few players did have good weeks, but Bethanie Mattek-Sands, for instance (up 15 spots to re-enter the Top 100) may not ever pass her top ranking of #30, while Samantha Crawford (up 27 spots to #223) surely will surpass #218, just not this week.
As for the rest:
Lexington $50K: 17-year-old Nicole Frenkel lost her final round of qualies to Nicha Lertpitaksinchai but received a Lucky Loser entry, then beat Jacqueline Cako and Sophie Chang before losing to eventual champ Nao Hibino. Amazingly, she was still in the wild card chase until that loss. 18-year-old Chang, who was also a Lucky Loser, upset Caitlyn Whoriskey to earn her new ranking. Keri Wong picked up a point by winning her first round of qualifying match.
Evansville $10K: It was a huge week (two weeks ago) for Lauren Herring, the University of Georgia star, who qualified and then won this Indiana event. In the final, she beat fellow SECer Andie Daniell (Alabama), who in turn beat 17-year-old Alexa Graham in the semis.
Sharm El Sheikh $10K: Yet another SECer, Ole Miss' Julia Jones, followed up her final the week before with a title here. Oklahoma State's Karyn Guttormsen won a match at this tournament as well.
Maaselk $10K: Tina Tehrani reached the quarters of this Belgian event.
Ellie Halbauer and Kylie McKenzie moved up thanks to others moving down.

Not included: Dominic Cotrone (1099), Matt Seeberger (1200), Anderson Reed (1722), Matthew Gamble (1861), Mitchell Stewart (1861), Logan Smith (2069).
LOTS.
Atlanta 250: Tough to beat the Denis Kudla story, reaching his first ATP semifinal (as a qualifier!) with wins over his contemporaries Ryan Harrison and Jack Sock. His fellow qualifier Jared Donaldson also picked up a win, against fellow-fellow qualifier Somdev Devvarman (a very nice win).
Lexington Challenger: Big Game Bjorn (working on that one) Fratangelo reached the semis, as did Mega Mitch (definitely working on that one) Krueger, buoying both to right around a couple of big places to hang their hats - Bjorn ever so close to that Top 100 and direct entry into majors; Mitch near where you want to be for direct entry into major qualifying. Both are in the running for the US Open Wild Card, with Fratangelo in much better shape (77 points to 44, with Krueger needing a final in Aptos to pass him; Sekou Bangoura also would need a final, while everyone else would need a title).
(Also of note: Ryan Sweeting re-entered the ATP rankings for the first time since last February with a first round win over qualifier Carsten Ball.)
USA F23/Godfrey: Winner -- Michael Mmoh. Runner-Up -- Jared Hiltzik. Semifinalists -- Evan King and Clay Thompson. Quarterfinalists -- Kyle Koch and Gonzales Austin (both qualifiers). Second rounders: Frederick Saba, Liam Caruana, and welcome-to-the-rankings Sameer Kumar and Grayson Goldin. Big tourney a couple of weeks back.
CAN F5/Vancouver: Winner - Andre Dome. Semifinalist - Eric Johnson. Second rounders (both rankings newbies, both qualifiers) Robbie Bellamy and Denny Fafek.
Eric Quigley, Stefan Kozlov, Tommy Paul, William Bushamuka, and Hunter Nicholas moved up thanks to others moving down.
